2026 SSMA WESTERN GATHERING ANNOUNCEMENT

The 2026 Western Gathering is scheduled for September 17th through the 20th.  The USS THRESHER, USS BONEFISH and USS HARDER Chapters are hosting and chose the Washington Tri-Cities area for this event for its location, climate and motorcycle-friendly roads.  This Gathering is open to all SSMA members, their spouses, families, etc.  Veteran guests of members that ride motorcycles are welcome to join us on Friday the 18th.

VETERANS CHARITY SELECTED FOR SPONSORSHIP

The Friends of Disabled Veterans is the charity selected for this year’s sponsorship.  All Chapters represented at the gathering are requested to donate a gift basket that will be raffled during the gathering.  Please visit www.friendsofdisabledveterans.org  for more information.

Red Lion Hotel Pasco Airport & Conference Center is our accommodation.  They also have available 25 RV spots on site.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES

Thurs, 17th:     1500-1700-  Gathering check in (location Red Lion)

1700-2300 Welcome Social and food truck dinner at American Legion (courtesy shuttle from hotel).  50/50 raffle.

 

Friday, 18th:    Breakfast wherever you desire

0800:  Riders brief, answer questions, safety plan.

0815  Depart for USS TRITON tour

0845 to 1100  USS TRITON Tour

1100-1630  Self guided rides and general mayhem

1700-???? Social and dinner at red lion restaurant.  50/50 raffle

1900-???  Music by Chris Ward

 

Saturday, 19th:  Breakfast wherever you desire.

0800:  Riders brief, answer questions, safety plan.

Depart for self guided rides.

1700:  social hour at Red Lion lounge, gift basket raffle.  50/50 raffle.

1800:  group dinner at the Red Lion with presentation to the Friends of Disabled Veterans Charity.

1900:  Dancing led by Killswitch…

 

Sunday, 20th:                Breakfast at Red Lion, goodbyes, departure for attendees.
